Our location on Calle Cuesta de Gomérez is ideal if you want to visit the Alhambra, since we are next to Puerta de las Granadas, one of the palace’s main access gates. The hotel stands out for being in the heart of the city’s historical triangle, made up by the Alhambra, the Albayzín district and the cathedral.

Next to all the main attractions
Hotel Puerta de las Granadas is located in the city’s old town, which will allow you to easily get to all of Granada’s main points of interest: museums, festivals, restaurants, tapas bars… And if you want to play a round of golf, you can visit Las Gabias golf course, located just 12 miles from the hotel.

Alhambra
Going up Cuesta de Gómerez for 150 yards we come across Puerta de las Granadas, one of the main access gates to the Alhambra palace complex. The gate was built on “Bib al-Buxar”, also known as Puerta de las Alegras Nuevas, which used to be a defence tower for one of the city’s main entrances. The Alhambra minibus stop is located 100 yards from the hotel, on Plaza de Isabel la Católica.

Albayzín
If you leave the hotel and turn left, 100 yards away is Plaza Nueva, a large square with bar terraces, traditional wine bars and souvenir shops. Past the Chancellery building, which dates from the Sixteenth Century, is the top of Carrera del Darro, a street which will take you to the Albayzín district (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO), an area full of monuments and historical sites.

Granada Cathedral
From Plaza Nueva, walk 150 yards to the left and you will reach the cathedral and the Chapel of the Catholic Monarchs, located in the city’s commercial and institutional centre. Also, you can enjoy a wide range of traditional local tapas in the many bars and restaurants located nearby.

Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada, Europe’s southernmost ski resort and the one with the most days of sun per season, is located just 30 minutes from our hotel. We also recommend different routes around its National Park which you can enjoy all year round.

Alpujarras
We can help you plan an excursion on the southern side of the Sierra Nevada mountains, which will allow you to discover its people, cuisine and stunning landscapes. An unmissable and unforgettable experience.

Beach
If you prefer a day on the beach, you can enjoy all the beauty and the special tropical microclimate of our coastline, just 50 minutes away from Hotel Puerta de las Granadas. Mountain or beach? You choose.
