Heading up the Cuesta de Gomerez, 150m up, you will find the "Puerta de las Granadas" (Pomegranate's Gate), which is the door to the Alhambra Palace. Built on the "Bib al-Buxar" (or happy new's gate) a defensive tower which was one of the entrances to the city. It is located on the ancient gully of the "Sabika", between the Alhambra and Mauror hills. It is the gate to the walls, and it natural access from the city , between the "Torre de la Vela" and "Torres Bermejas". If continuing the going up, we reach the ticket office for the visit to the "Nazaries" Palaces and the rest of the monuments.
